What Is Brazilian Butt Lift Recovery Like?

While every patient is unique, expect your BBL recovery to take at least a few weeks and up to 6 weeks if you’ve had extensive liposuction. We recommend you wear a compression garment and refrain from vigorous exercise for 4 to 6 weeks. You should also avoid sitting for extended periods, but when sitting down is necessary, use a donut pillow or cushioning. Although Dr. Ablavsky makes every effort to minimize bruising during liposuction, it can take 6 to 8 weeks for swelling to subside fully and for the buttocks to feel less tender. By 3 to 6 months post-op, you will be able to enjoy the “full” results of your shapelier buttocks.
